My Forever Favorite Song: Shape of My Heart

May I sing a song for you….said Nava in her e-mail for Andre:

I’m here with my confession
Got nothing to hide no more
I don’t know where to start
But to show you the shape of my heart

Everybody may have his/her own favorite song, and so do I. Those lyrics above are Backstreet Boys’. The title is ‘Shape of My Heart’. This song came from their fourth album, Black and Blue and was released on 3rd October, 2000. I started to listen to this song in around 2003. Then I began to fall in love with this song. I didn’t know why, but I realized at one day in my past that the lyric above was the key, clue, and answer of my question at that time. So, that’s why I put the lyric in my first novel Miss Dreamer and Elizabeth’s Diary, I will always remember that.

Yes, I love this song so much. Although at the first I didn’t understand the lyric, it had very nice melody. Besides, I also became the fan of the boyband since 1999.  ‘Til now, I still listen to it, hehe…

So, may I sing a song for you….

“Shape Of My Heart” by Backstreet Boys

Hmm, yeah, yeah
Baby, please try to forgive me
Stay here don’t put out the glow
Hold me now don’t bother if every minute it makes me weaker
You can save me from the man that I’ve become, oh yeah

Lookin’ back on the things I’ve done
I was tryin’ to be someone
I played my part, kept you in the dark
Now let me show you the shape of my heart

Sadness is beautiful loneliness that’s tragical
So help me I can’t win this war, oh no
Touch me now don’t bother if every second it makes me weaker
You can save me from the man I’ve become

Lookin’ back on the things I’ve done
I was tryin’ to be someone
I played my part, kept you in the dark
Now let me show you the shape of my heart

My favorite part:

I’m here with my confession
Got nothing to hide no more
I don’t know where to start
But to show you the shape of my heart

I’m lookin’ back on things I’ve done
I never wanna play the same old part
I’ll keep you in the dark
Now let me show you the shape of my heart

Lookin’ back on the things I’ve done
I was tryin’ to be someone
I played my part, kept you in the dark
Now let me show you the shape of my heart

Lookin’ back on the things I’ve done
I was tryin’ to be someone
I played my part, kept you in the dark
Now let me show you the shape of my heart

Show you the shape of my heart
