I live in the center of Drizzyland, exactly in the capital city, Dampus City. It’s beautiful land, the rain comes almost everyday. So, it makes our land look green and chilly. This land is also fully by forests.
My name is Elisabeth Merry Wilson. I live with my parents hapilly. But there is something that makes me curious, is to find my family’s history. I’m from the one of the great empire in this land. Our land has four great empire. They are Redwood in the north, Eastford in the east, Blackmyth in the south, and Shinewest in the west. I’m from the Redwood empire. And it’s from the descent line of my mother. But my mother said that we are also from another empire between Eastford or Blackmyth. Because of this, I really want to know about my family’s history.
I have a big plan for realize my desire to solve this mystery. So I need all my bestfriends to help me. I have three best friends, they all are boys. They are Kevin, Nick, and Alex. They are my childmate. I really need their help, because without them I can’t do anything.
Now, we come together in the backyard of my house. We will discuss my plan.
And we have decided, tonight we will go without tell to our parents.
Tonight, it’s about 11:30 p.m, I go out the house carefully. I success go out from my house. I’ve written the letter for my parents, it’s told that I’ll find Redwood. I wish they will be alright.
Kevin is already in front of my house to pick me up. We go to the City Garden together by walking. Alex and Nick have waited for us in the City Garden. Then we start our journey directly. We go by Alex’s car, it’s an old sedan car. Although it was, I enjoy our journey. I sit in the back of the car with Nick. Kevin accompany Alex who drives the car.
This is the first day to find Redwood. About 7:00 a.m. we arrive in small village is called Watershed Village. I think Redwood isn’t far from this village. We take a rest and eat breakfast in small food stall. Then we talk about next plan that we want to do.
Nick go to the bar then ask the man worker about Redwood.
A few minutes later, Nick come back to us.
“The man said that Redwood castle isn’t too far from her maybe it’s about 20-30 km. But he also said that Redwood area is very dangerous. I don’t know why maybe there isn’t any people who live there. The nearest live about 10 km from Redwood castle. And the area is also dark and cold because is arounded by old forest. What do you think? We still continue this journey?”
“Of course Nick, we will. Just one step more, we’ll gonna find this. Are you with me, guys?” I said.
“Of course. Let’s go!” Alex said.
We continue our journey. About one hour, we arrive in the dark area and it’s very cold. There is a high fortress in front us. I’m sure it’s Redwood Castle. Alex hit the gates by his car which is made by wood. The gates is opened easily.
I see amazing view there. An old great castle still stand in 22th century. Maybe the age of the castle is about 1000 years old, because in the fortress is written this castle was built in 1221. We enter the castle then walk inside. We enter the one of the rooms in the castle. I’m sure I’ll find the clues here. I see a big painting here. A beautiful woman which wore the beautiful long dress and smiled. I don’t know, is she my great grandmother ?
“Guys, would you help me to find anything that look like the clues?”
“Ok, let’s start.”said Nick.
We are looking for somethings that will show me to the truth of the Redwood’s history. Then I find the big box under the bed, it was made from metal. It is locked. Where is the key?
“Merry, I find the key in the drawer of the wardrobe. I don’t what the key it is?”said Alex.
“Let me see!”
Then I try to open the box with that key. The box open. There are a beautiful dress, some old photos, and a diary. I open the diary, because I’m sure there will be clues are written about Redwood’s history. But that diary open with itself. There is a light, it’s so bright. So, I couldn’t see anything. I feel there is something which pull me, then I fell like flying. But I still couldn’t see anything.
My eyes open. Where am I? Is it dream? No. It’s not dream, it’s real. I still in the Redwood Catle, in that woman’s room. Where are my friends? Am I alone here? I think I understand where am I. I still in Redwood Castle but in different period. It past time, where my great grandparents still alive. That book wants to show me all the truth with this. I understand , now I’ll try to walk on all things that would happen.
“Miss. Elisabeth! The King and Queen already wait you for dinner tonight. Are you ready to meet Prince Edward?” Suddenly, a woman’s voice call me outside the room.
Who is Edward?
“ I’ll be ready for a while. Would you help me, please?”
“Sure.”
That old woman help me to dress up. I wear a beautiful long dress that I never wear before. Then I walk to outside the room into dining room. I am so nervous, because I don’t know what will happen to me.
They are waiting for me. Two man and one woman. I’m sure they both are my parents. And who is that guy? Is he Kevin?
“Good night, Elisabeth. Nice to meet you.”That man said.
“Nice to meet you too.” I smile to him, whereas I still confuse. Because his face is really like Kevin.
“Elisabeth! Sit down, please!” said Queen.
“Elisabeth, we will talk about your marriage with Edward.”said King.
What??! I will married with him! I still 18 years old, still young, I don’t wanna do that.
“I guess, you should talk each other. Because you haven’t met for a long time. Maybe you will find the compatible.” Said Queen.
I become more nervous. I don’t know what must I do.
“Let’s have dinner!Edward, enjoy your food!”
“Thank you”
We enjoy the food that has preserved. I never felt the food like this. The tastes are so delicious. Now, we already finish our dinning.
“Elisabeth, you should invite Edward to take a walk around the castle. And you will know each other after that. We hope you will compatible each other.”
Then we take a walk around the castle. Although I don’t know about this area, I just walk with him in the night.
“Are you Kevin?”
“Kevin?Who is he? Is that your friend?”
“Yes, he is my bestfriend. So, you are not him. What’s you name?”
“Elisabeth, are you forget me? I’m Edward Hurrington from Eastford Empire. I’m your childmate. Don’t you remember me?”
“I’m sorry. I just don’t remember.I have bad dream last night.”
“I see. You know that I’ve been waiting for you since we were child. “
“Really?”
“Yes. You’re like a beautiful angel who come into my life give me a light and scents. Make my life is so wonderful.”
I feel nervous and my heart beat so hard. I afraid he will hear my heart’s beat. If you are really Kevin, I want to marry with you. But you are Edward, not Kevin. Is Edward my great grandfather? So who am I? Why they call me Elisabeth? My name is Elisabeth , and I think my grandmother’s name was Elisabeth too.
We still walk under the moon. The sky is so beautiful tonight. We are on the bridge now. We can see a lake in the night with the shadow of the moon. I never seen this view before, and so with my heart. I never felt this before. I feel comfortable to talk with him.
We talk each other. He tell me about us when we were child. I feel it too when I was being with Kevin. Kevin is the oldest friends, he is very wise, and he is also charm. I like him actually. He always with me when I need him. He always help me . He always make my heart comfortable with what he says. Should I marry Edward,if he look like Kevin?
“Elisabeth Rose, would you marry me?”
Elisabeth Rose? So it was my grandmother’s name. I become her. And Kevin become Edward. Now I understand. But how about Nick and Alex?Where are they?
I still silent.
“Would you?” he asked me again.
“Y..e…s…, I….w…i..ll…” I answer with hesitate.
“Thank you Elisabeth, I won’t be disappoint you. I promise.”
We return to the castle. He brings me to my room. We part here tonight.
“Good night,Elisabeth. Have a nice dream!”
“Good night Kev, umm…I mean Edward. Nice to meet you.”
He smile to me. Ooh…he is so handsome. And he will become my husband. I enter my room. I’m looking for the diary that I’ve found. But I couldn’t find it anywhere in my room. It’s should be somewhere. Where is that book? How can I go out from this epoch? Must I finish this all? What about my friends? Oh my God, help me, please!
Our wedding only one days later. It so fast, whereas I knew Edward yesterday.
Today, I wish I can meet with Nick and Alex. I’m walking around the castle. Then I see a library down there. Maybe I can find the diary.
“Hi, Elisabeth!”
I think I know the voice,Nick!
“Hey, what are you doing here, Elisabeth? I think you should be preparing all for your wedding.”
“Umm…I just…”
“I think you have good choice. You choose Edward to become your husband.”
“Who are you?”
“Don’t you know me! I’m your childmate, Richard.”
So, Nick become Richard.
“I also Edward’s cousin. Remember now? I know we’ve never met for 7 years. But I’ll never forget to you.”
“I’m sorry….Would you help me to find the book.? It has font ‘E’ on its cover. It’s has many beautiful carved and the color is brown.”
“Ummm….Ok!”
We look for that book, but the result is same. We can’t find it anywhere.
“Hey, I think I ever saw the book like what you said. But it’s Edward’s own. I saw it in Edward’s room a month ago.”
“Edward’s own?”
“Yes, he ever told me that his diary is all about you, since he were child, since he met you. He got it from his parents in his 5th birthday, if I’m not false. Why don’t you try to ask him?”
“Maybe I should ask him later.Thank you for your information.”
“You’re welcome.”
“Where is Edward?”
“He have duty to extend the reconciliation to Blackmyth Empire. Don’t you know that Blackmyth really hates Eastford joins with Redwood? Besides, you will marry with the next king of Eastford, Edward. I guess, James will be angry if he knows this news. Because he also loves you.”
“James?”
“Yes, he is also our childmate. But he was change when he become the young king. He become more cruel,greedy, and bad. I regret to become his friend.”
James? Maybe Alex become him. Why is Alex become him? Alex isn’t bad boy.
“Is Edward will be okay?” I doubt.
“Don’t worry, he will be okay, I know you’re worry about him. He is guarded by strong armies.”
“Thanks, I guess I will be waiting for him. I’ll be back to my room.”
“Wait Elisabeth, here it is. It’s from Edward. This morning he entrust this to me. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?”
“Thanks Richard”
I don’t suppose that Edward give me beautiful flowers. He knows that I realy love red rose. Thank you,Edward.
Is my great grandmother marry in his young age like me? What will happen to me ? Will I really want to marry with Edward or James will defeat it to get me? I wish everything will be fine.
“Elisabeth, Edward is waiting for you on the bridge near the lake. You should go there now, he want to talk to you.” Richard told me.
“Ok, thanks Richard.”
I walk alone to lake. The lake is located behind the castle and outside the castle fortress. I see him stand alone on the bridge. The sunset will come. His shadow is look so brawny and courageous. I greet him.
“Hi…”
“Hi Elisabeth. I want to talk to you.”
“…….”
“Tomorrow is our wedding. Are you sure want to marry with me?”
“Yes. Why you ask me like that?”
“I just……I afraid if I lose you. I don’t want to lose you.”
Then he hold my hands. His sight is so incisive to me, show me all his feeling. So warm and so calm. The sunset is coming.
He still hold my hands even stronger. We just look each other without saying anything.
“Elisabeth……” Then he started the conversation.
“Yes….”
“I love you….”
He embrace me to his body. I also embrace his arms. I feel warm and calm beside him.
The he kiss me on my forehead.
“I love you too, Edward!”
After that we spend the time together until midnight. He brings me to my room.
“See you tomorrow, Elisabeth! Tomorrow will be the greatest time of my life. And you should take a rest before great day tomorrow.”
“See you too. Good night, Edward!”
“Good night, Elisabeth!”
“Oh ya…I’m forget. Thanks for your gift. The rose is beautiful.”
“You’re welcome.”
Oh my God!Am I falling in love with him? With Kevin or Edward?
I can’t sleep last night, because I think everything that Edward said and about my wedding this morning. But I already wake up.
The wedding is held in my castle. I’m ready now. I look myself at the mirror. Oh…is that girl in the mirror me? Why is so beautiful? Yes, it’s me, Elisabeth Rose Hurrington. I wear a beautiful dress that I ‘ve ever seen before in the big box before I were here. Now I wear it. It’s so unbelievable.
Edward and all guests have waited for me. I feel so nervous. They look at me. I come close to Edward. We ready for the wedding.
Now, we are a marriage couple. We are so happy today. But suddenly, there is a gates guard run into the room.We are shocked. That man tell to us that the armies from Blackmyth attack us now. And we should save ourselves.
After that, a man who I know the face come to the room. It’s Alex but he is James now.
“Edward! Why do you marry with the woman that I’ll marry?You omit our agreement. I hate you, Edward.”He said
“You who has omit our agreement since last.You can’t cancel our wedding, because you are late. Elisabeth is my wife now. You can’t snatch her from me.”
“You’ll see. I’ll take her from you!”
Then the battle happen in the castle. I feel so scare. It’s my wedding, why everything become worse? I hide in my room. I afraid Edward will be killed. Edward is fighting with James.
Edward come to my room with much blood in his clothes.
“Edward, are you okay?”
“I’m okay. We must go from here. But it’s too danger to go outside. James is still looking for me. He want to kill me.”
“What?”
“You must follow me.”
Then he hold my right hand and take me to go to outside. His left hand bring his sword. We are running. I can’t see my father and my mother.
Where is my mother? Oh, no, she caught by Blackmyth armies. I can hear her voice.
“Just go, Elisabeth. Go! Save yourself!”
I want to cry. I see many dead people on the floor. There is so much blood.It’s too horrible view.
We success to go out the castle. But James see us. We still run. I see my father and he blocks James. He fights with James. But unfortunately, my father is dead in the end of James’s sword. I scream and cry. Then Edward take out a horse. We ride it. The horse is running very strong and fast. James and his armies try to chase us. But our horse run very fast. And I can’t see them anymore.
We go far away from Redwood to the middle of this land, because that area still unknown by people. Then we find a small cottage in the middle of the forest. We take a rest there. I feel shock and emotional. But I should thank to God that He still save me and Edward.
Day after day, time passed away. We live in that cottage simply. It already a year after that tragedy. And now I pregnant 4 month.
“Elisabeth, I think I want to see Eastford castle. I leave something there. I think it will be used by you someday.”
“But, it’s too dangerous. Maybe James is still looking for us.”
“I’ll go with myself.”
“No, Edward. I am with you.”
“You need to take a rest here. I’ll be fine and I promise I’ll come back to you.”
“No. I want to be with you.”
“Alright”
We ride a horse that we had taken to the east slowly. About 5 hours we arrive there. The Eastford castle is bigger than Redwood castle. And there is so quiet. Nobody lives there.
We entered the castle into Edward’s room. Then Edward take out a book from the box. That is his diary, which brings me to here. Can I back to my real life?
“Elisabeth, this is my diary. I keep it for you. Now you must keep it. I have written all about you here since we first met, because you are so important for me. Now, it’s your turn to write down all about us, all about our children, all about everything that happen to us. Do you promise?”
“Why do you say that?”
“Because I think, I can’t write it anymore”
“I promise. I’ll keep this book and write all about us.”
“And you also must tell about our story to our children, so they will know about us, about our love.”
“Yes, I promise.”
He embrace me so hard. Then he kiss me on my forehead. The love and affection kiss. Suddenly, I see a man standing near the door. It James.
“Ha..ha..ha..You’re in trap, Edward! You and your lovely wife can’t go from here.”
“James!”
I keep the book on my hands.
“What are you doing here, Edward. You know that I suppose to be here. You’ll give me that woman, right?”
“No, you can’t!”
“Hi, Elisabeth. Remember me? The most handsome boy in this land.Ha..ha..!!!”
“You’re crazy,James!”
“Now, I’ll kill you, Edward! Because you take her from me.”
“You can kill me but you can’t kill Elisabeth and my child.”
“Ooh..so do you have a child?”
“In her womb”
“Ok…ok…I’ll accept your request.”
Then the sound of shooting is heard. NO!!! Edward is shot to the death by James. Edward’s body is on my lap. His chest is bleeding so much.
“E..li..sa..beth!Ke..ep..your…pro..mise…for..me…!”
And his eyes is closed. I scream and I cry. Why this should be happen? James is laughing , see Edward, his enemy is already dead. What must I do? I remember I want to go my real life through that book.
I open the book and the book is opened by itself. The light is so bright. Then I feel, something pull me down to the book.
“Goodbye, James!” It’s the last word that I say.
I fly, and I still can’t open my eyes. But I can see everything that happen after that. Elisabeth married with James after Elisabeth and Edward’ s child was born. It was a boy, and his name is Thomas. Thomas grew up with fully of love from Elisabeth. Elisabeth also had many children from James. But she loved more to Thomas. Elisabeth told all the stories that happen. She also told that James wasn’t Thomas’s father, but Edward was Thomas’s father. Elisabeth wrote about Thomas’s life.
When Elisabeth dead, it was time for Thomas to continue the duty to write about all his life. And so on until the book was lost. And now this book in my hands. I have duty for that. To keep this book.
Now I lay on. I open my eyes slowly. Where am I? The room is so dark and dirty. It’s so much dust. I’m back!!!Yes,I’m back!!! Kevin is beside me and also with Nick and Alex.
I feel so calm. I ‘m back to my real life. Kevin, Nick, and Alex wake up.
“What happen?” Kevin asked.
“I don’t know, I think we are slept.” Nick said.
“I had a bad dream, do you have a bad dream too?” Alex asked.
“No, I had a nice dream, but I don’t remember it well.” Kevin said.
“Me too.” Nick also said that.
“What about you Merry? Do you have a bad dream or good?”Nick asked.
“Me? Both of them.”
“Hey, Merry in your embrace,that book!You should read it. You’ll know the history!” Alex suggested.
“I already know.”
“Know?when? Don’t we find it just now?”Nick surprised.
“It just my prediction”
I smile to them. Whereas,that dream is really.
“Let’s go home! We already find the clue. I think it’s enough.”
“Are you sure? Maybe you will take this castle for your family?”
“No, that’s too much. I just want to know who is my great grandparents. I’ll ask the government to keep this castle. Maybe it can be the object tour history.”
“Yes, good idea” Nick supported.
“So, who is your great grandparents?”Kevin asked.
“My great grandparents are between Redwood and Eastford. Elisabeth Rose that woman who are in the painting married with the prince of Eastford, Edward Hurrington. But unfortunately, Edward dead when Elisabeth was pregnant. Edward was killed by James from Blackmyth, because he wanted to marry with Elisabeth. But Edward’s son was born. And I am their great great grandchild.”
“Good history…Ok now, let’s go home!” Alex said.
We are coming back to our houses. It’s really unforgettable experience for me. I’ll never forget how the struggle between Elisabeth and Edward to get their life. About their loves story makes me feel admire.
I’ll tell all the history to my parents. I’ll show to them this book. They must read. And I also want to read more. I proud with my family.
I say thanks and goodbye to my friends, Nick and Alex. Kevin is with me now, because his house is in the front of my house.
“Kev, thank for everything!”
“You’re welcome.Um…I have a dream that you become my wife. But I dead and Alex get you. I confuse why my dream like what you’ve told?”
“Maybe it’s really happen, but we are not realize it.”
“But I wish it really happen to me.”
“Do you want to die?”
“I will die of course, but I want to die in your embrace like in my dream.”
“Kevin, I don’t want to lose you anymore.”
I hug Kevin so hard. So he does.
“Me too. I don’t want to lose you.”
Kevin kiss me on my forehead like what Edward does. I feel more comfortable. I’m sure Kevin will be by myside and always be.
“Bye Elisabeth!”
“Bye Kevin!”
I back to my house. I open the door, then my mom and my father hug me. I know they will be worried about me. But I flee just 2 days for the long dream in past. I tell everything to them. And I show the Elisabeth’s diary which actually was Edward own. And now this book is belong to me. There are still many empty sheets that I want to write about me and my family. I feel so proud to my family and also to my bestfriends. I’ll always keep them in my heart, because they are so important in my life. I can’t live without them all.
Maybe someday I will do the same like what Edward and Elisabeth do for their life. To struggle what they love. Keep it well so the world will know about their story forever, all the time.
